From high-end appeal with Tom Ford’s fantastic Lip Colours that cost £38. Think Blake Lively in her Vogue shoot in 2009 for the flawless Matte lip finish or a high street lip colour like The Only 1 Lipstick by Rimmel London that’s fits well for every budget for only £6.99. Every woman should have at least one high end lipstick as their secret weapon for special occasions. A luxury splurge for a stylish and classic red lip are an excellent way to own your piece of Tom Ford or Chanel. The good thing is that both of these brands feature classy gold and black packaging and will look chic as an amazing accessory to look just as amazing in your clutch bag as they do on your lips.
If you are looking for a long-lasting, contoured and precise finish, then consider investing in a matching lip liner for the lip colour. Almost all brands on the market offer corresponding liner colours; however, if you cannot find an exact match, then consider investing in high-quality nude lip liner to keep colour from bleeding into surrounding areas.
If you what you want is a professional matte finish, then consider getting MAC lipsticks. The timeless Red Ruby Woo is a must and certainly lives up to its worldwide hype and certainly will not disappoint. For a nude you can go for Mac’s Velvet Teddy. A staple nude shade which is perfect for everyday wear. This shade came off as a “pinkish” nude which I love. If I had to choose I would most likely go for Ruby Woo. Mac definitely pulled off this collaboration with Rihanna and will definitely be a classic go to red in my make up collection. Lady Gaga and more recently Taraji P Henson have also been part of the Viva Glam collection if you are a one-off special edition fan.
If you are looking for another perfect ageless red lipstick, then we have found several great options that we think you are going to love. If you have never owned Ice Shade or Revlon’s Fire and Ice, then now is the perfect time to invest. Established in 1952 and related with people like Marilyn Monroe, brands like Fire and Ice are simply pin-up poster lipsticks.
Rouge Pur Couture by Yves Saint Laurent
Our preferred brand for people with dry lips, Rouge Pur Couture’s moisturising colours last all day long without drying up the delicate area around the lips. The great thing is that it also contains SPF15, which protects your lips from the harmful rays of the sun. Be it you are looking for a ruby red or a natural nude, trust YSL to have it.
Blending a dose of moisture for people with dry lips and long lasting colour, we love the refined shine Rimmel London’s Lipsticks deliver.Their lipsticks are budget-friendly options that do not compromise on pigment with both dark and light shades offering remarkable lip coverage.
Lip Colour by Tom Ford
Lip Colour is the ultimate brand when it comes to lip glamour. These lipsticks by Tom Ford offer long-lasting colour and high pigment. Their creamy formula is rather moisturising, helping your lips stay in good condition for much longer. If you all you want is lipstick that not only looks great but is also flashy, then Tom Ford’s Lip Colour is worth splurging on.
Loved by beauty buffs and celebrities all around the world, MAC’s matte-finish, high-pigment lipsticks are what to go for when looking for a lipstick with high impact colours. There are a lot of reasons why MAC lipsticks are loved all over the world, and one of them is their ability to offer a long lasting colour that is simply irresistible.
Super Lustrous Lipstick by Revlon
Fire and Ice by Revlon has been a very hot brand since it was launched back in 1952. Our top choice for everyday use/wear is Chanel’s Coco Rouge. The brand comes in a variety of colours that will not only look good when pulled out of your handbag to do a touch-up but which are also super-hydrating with a striking high pigment colour that fades evenly and slowly making it an excellent natural-looking product you can wear every day. Coco Rogue is for those of you who are sick and tired of the dreaded lip line smudge. We are absolutely in love with this product and believe you will love it too.
Burberry Lips Burberry Kisses
A gel formula, Burberry Lips Burberry Kisses is another one of our favourite lipstick products because of its sheer and rather glossy colours that are buildable” you can add a hint of colour during the daytime and add an extra layer for a high pigment evening look.
This product smooths onto the lips with relative ease, and we just love its finish. Tip: Did you know you can get a free lipstick from WOW Free Stuff? Click here to find out more. Be sure to let us know what your favourite nude and red lipstick choices and whether you think we have left any out!
