5 WAYS TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE
More people are finding easy ways to make money online and from more than one income stream. We have such easy access to the internet these days, there is certainly no reason why having more than one source of income cannot be achieved.
Now that Christmas is just under 5 weeks away, its would be the perfect time to share ways to make money online, and bring in the extra cash closer to Christmas.
Theres no doubt that a little extra money will come in handy, whether its to purchase a gift on your Christmas wishlist or if you could do with the boost in income.
Seeing as I wrote an in depth post on how you can save thousands and utilise the income you already have, I thought I would create a post teaching you how you can make money online. The majority of them can be done in the comfort of your own home and depending on your time management, you can probably do all 5 in just under a few hours per week!
Promote your own services
Have you got web design skills? You may know how to create an amazing landing page, or tweak a free template to cater to a client’s needs.
Maybe you have great expertise in online consulting or have a strong social media following and can teach others how to get the same. What ever you have expertise in, monetise that! You can sell your services on fiverr or even etsy. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. You have the skills and the knowledge so its high time you started generating income from it.
Everyone with a smartphone should have no excuse with this one. There are tons of different apps which you can download straight to your phone and start earning cash! Some involve taking pictures of shop displays, completing surveys or just going to the gym! Here are the ones which I use:
This is a recent app which I just started to use. Receipt Hog simply requires you to take photos of your receipts. So if you like to shop, it is definitely worth signing up for. I believe 1500 coins is £5. They must be usual till receipts from for example a clothing store and cannot be more than 2 weeks old.
Even though it seems like you need a lot of coins to reap decent rewards, the little work you put in definitely makes it worth it.
Swagbucks is great. Its super addictive and easy to navigate using the app. I say that because I originally signed up using my laptop and for some reason I didn’t really enjoy the user experience. It is a rewards system and you gain points by doing surveys, watching adverts or doing your purchases online. I wish I had known sooner as I would definitely have been able to get some extra points for some of the shops which they are in partnership with (Starbucks, Benefit, Smashbox to name a few). Its free so its definitely worth signing up to.
This app pays you based on tasks you carry out for them, usually this will be taking pictures of shop and instore displays or being a mystery shopper by reporting your findings through your phone. You provide the app with your postcode and it gives you a list of local tasks which need completing. Easy huh? They pay out through paypal which is really convenient.
Be aware that I believe this app may only be available in the UK.
Have you ever watched a youtube tutorial which shows you someone elses screen and their voice over? That’s screen testing. You can get between £8-£10 to provide feedback on various different websites, which usually only take like 20 minutes to do. That’s £24-30 per hour! I signed up to What Users Do who send me notifications whenever a website is available for me to test. If you’re already computer savvy there is no reason why you shouldn’t sign up. You can easily do the tests just sitting in bed in your PJ’s! Well worth trying.
Be someones virtual assistant
If you like to keep busy and feel like helping others with their to do list then its worth while thinking about being a virtual assistant. If you are quick at answering emails or can help someone with some research or even do their shopping online, become a virtual assistant. Given my hours at work and train commute its not possible for me to commit to this but I have seen some great reviews of people who do this and get paid a very decent amount of money.
I see many facebook groups with entrepreneurs and business owners alike, trying to find somebody to help them, its worth signing up to a few and keep your eyes open for opportunities.
