Best motivational podcasts to inspire you
Last year I was completely determined to improve my personal development in terms of overall wellness, happiness and growth. I wanted new things to focus on to keep my mind active and productive. To work in the city in a demanding job as a lawyer, I wanted something which would take my mind away from work but still engaged! I originally aimed to start reading more but I’ll be honest I lost slight interest in reading (but I aim to change that this year!) With a two hour commute every day I figured I could do something productive!
I decided podcasts would be a great start so decided to do some research on podcasts to follow. I was really focused on finding podcasts I could relate to and this developed onto entrepreneurship and growing my blog. This keeps me very motivated, on top of my blogging goals and keep growing with the amazing tips and guidance these podcasts provide. In following these podcasts for some time, well over a year, I find that they are the best motivational podcasts to help you and are well worth listening to.
If like me you are interested in finding new and inspiring podcasts to develop your mind set and increase your personal growth then keep reading. Some you may or may not have heard of. I love that there are some low key entrepreneurs working hard on their goals. It shows that there are successful everyday women working their way up on their brand and image. Which means you or I can do it too! That’s a major key which keeps motivating me without fail. We have our favourite celebrities and top bloggers or entrepreneurs in the industry who we love and look up to, but its also nice to know that others are out their making a HUGE impact.
I want to share these amazing podcasts with you because they are definitely deserving of the mention. Particularly for growth in 2017.

After reading Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, it only made sense that I tuned into GirlBoss Radio. Each week Sophia interviews inspiring women who have made it to the top of the career ladder or succeeding in their business ventures. Given that Sophia has built and running an amazing empire over at nastygal.com, its super inspiring that after the end to her journey at NastyGal she is still able to make an impact and time to interview other empowering millennials about their journey.
Definitely give GirlBoss Radio a follow!
I just recently started to subscribe to Being Boss. Eventual Millionaire is hosted by Jaime Masters which provides advice on how to run a business. While Eventual Millionaire doesn’t just interview female millennials, similar to She Did It Her Way, you will receive really solid advice about entrepreneur’s stories of their failures, break throughs and successes.
Moving slightly away from personal development and business advice, Stuff Mom Never Told you is a great podcast hosted by Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin. They have decided as of December 2016 that the podcast will no longer continue but they have over 800 episodes still up to listen to! talking about a range of topics from politics to feminism. Stuff Mom Never Told You tell really fun and humorous stories, research and interesting facts about the gender gap in Patent rights and how romantic comedies were invented thanks to Hollywood censorship.
Emma Gannon has hosted over 50 episodes of this podcast. The podcasts hosts genuine and candid conversations with amazing women on stress and self care, work-life balance with and body confidence. Emma has interviewed some great women like Nimco Ali, Estee Lalonde and Megan Gilbride. Emma covers a range of different topics which always make sure you walk away knowledgeable because of the valuable information she gages with her interviewees. I feel this is probably one of the top podcasts for females in 2017.
Onwards and upwards
Given that it’s the new year which means new goals, insights and striving for success, get serious with your goals. Its so important to stay focused and surround yourself with positive and motivating influences that will keep you on track for the year. In 2017 there really are no excuses! Visualise what 2017 will look like for you if you do achieve your goals. Then visualise how the end of 2017 will look if you don’t. What will contribute to you not reaching those goals? Not putting in the work? Lack of effort? What ever it is don’t look back thinking, if only I had kept going. Make sure you keep going and do what it takes!
